Here are our tips for stress-free holiday entertaining:

1. Prepare as much as you can ahead of time. There are so many great recipes out there that can be prepped the night before and thrown in the oven (even crockpot) on the day of the event. This allows more time to enjoy and mingle with your guests.

Have the budget to splurge? Hire a local catering company to serve something different for your group! No dishes or cooking so you can truly relax and enjoy!

2. Consider an interactive menu. Whether it’s food stations,  a caesar bar, a meat and cheese fondue, a chilli station (with a ton of toppings!) or a create your own sushi;  your guests will love the unique experience. We call this the hands on dinner party!

3. Prefer a simple menu? Have fun with the decor. Get creative with DIY centrepieces or place cards. Your guests will feel extra special and your table will look great!

4. Prepare a game. There are so many fun ideas out there. Plan something for your guests to do after dinner to finish the night with a good laugh!

5. Be considerate of kids. Keep in mind children’s nap and bed times when planning the timing of your event. Setting up a kids area with activities is a great way to keep them busy and give their parents a chance to enjoy their company.

Happy Planning!
