no more winter blues

I think we are all just about ready for spring.

Although the snowflakes, hot chocolate and skating dates were fun in December, it’s easy to feel those winter blues by March.

Beach season will come sooner then you think though! So let’s climb out of the rut, get energized and say goodbye to those winter blues. Here are some of my tips:

1. Do something that’s been on your to-do list forever. Don’t you feel so much better after getting those things done? Give your home office a makeover, reorganize your closet and donate old clothes, print pictures, paint some frames.. Making the space around you prettier and more efficient will make you feel the same way!

2. Get outside. I know , it’s freezing. But even a few minutes of fresh air can made a big difference.

3. Treat yourself- you work hard and everyone deserves to be spoiled once in a while. Whether it’s a manicure, a weekend away, a new “something”- do something for you.

4. Exercise. That 30 minute pilates class, jog on the treadmill or walk with the pup can make a big impact on your mental and physical health. It also gives you time to disconnect which we all know can be a difficult task.

5. Find what makes you happy and do it. Whether it be a new business venture, a project, catching up with an old friend, setting aside more family time, whatever it may be,  make sure you find yourself smiling.
